THE MEASUREMENT EXPERIENCE

Precision Begins with the Fit.

A custom suit or tuxedo begins with a clear understanding of your proportions, posture and preferences. Our guided process turns those details into a garment shaped around you.

BEYOND STANDARD SIZING

Measurements Are Only the Beginning.

Accurate measurements establish proportion. Posture, balance and fit preference help determine how the garment should sit, move and feel. Together, they create the foundation for confident tailoring.

01

Proportion

Measurements establish the relationship between your shoulders, chest, waist, seat and overall frame.

02

Balance

Posture and body shape influence how a jacket hangs and how trousers fall.

03

Preference

A precise fit should still reflect how you prefer to dress: closer, balanced or more relaxed.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Measured With Intention.

01

Prepare

Wear lightweight clothing, empty your pockets, remove your shoes and use a flexible measuring tape.

02

Measure

Follow each body landmark carefully while standing in a natural, relaxed posture.

03

Review

Repeat critical measurements and check the complete set for consistency.

04

Confirm

Share the completed information through the approved Lines & Lapel process.

MEASUREMENT VS. FIT

The Number Is Not the Garment.

Body measurements describe you. Garment measurements describe the finished clothing. Tailoring requires appropriate allowance for comfort, movement, structure and personal preference.

Body Measurements

Taken around or across the body without adding extra room.

Garment Measurements

The dimensions of the finished jacket or trousers after fit allowance and design decisions are applied.

Customers should not add their own ease or alter a number to create a preferred fit unless a Lines & Lapel consultant instructs them to do so.
