FIT & SILHOUETTE / THE STYLE GUIDE

Jacket Fit

Fit is more than a standing silhouette. Look at the shoulder, the front, the length and the way the jacket responds when you move.

01 / THE FRAME

Start at the Shoulder

The shoulder line establishes the jacket’s frame. Notice where the seam meets the upper arm and whether the shoulder sits cleanly without obvious collapse or strain.

Natural differences in posture and shoulder slope deserve observation, not a one-size-fits-all correction.

Consider this

Look at both options in the context of the full garment and the occasion.

02 / THE FRONT

Chest, Closure and Balance

The chest should offer room to breathe while the front closes without conspicuous pulling. Observe the lapel, button stance and hem from more than one angle.

Balance concerns how the front and back hang on your posture; it is not simply a numerical measurement.

03 / IN MOTION

Length, Sleeve and Movement

Jacket length and sleeve relationship work together with the trouser rise and shirt cuff. Reach forward, sit and walk to assess comfort as well as appearance.

Some fit concerns may be addressed through tailoring; design preferences should be discussed before the garment is made.
